Skin Care Products You Should Be Using Daily

Skin is the largest organ on your body and should be treated with care. As you age, your skin loses elasticity and begins to develop wrinkles. Certain health issues can cause other skin problems to arise. No matter what period of your life you are in, there are certain things you should do to ensure your skin is getting the care it needs.

Cleanser

The type of cleanser you use depends on your skin type, but everyone should be using one. Cleanser lives up to its name and literally helps to clean your skin by removing dirt and dead skin cells. If you choose to use just one type of skin care product, this should be it.

Cleanser

Throughout the day, your face suffers through unwanted buildup just like the rest of your skin. You likely use soap in the shower, but shower gels and other products aren't always right for your face. That's where a cleanser comes in. Most cleansers are for normal skin, so if you have oily or dry skin, find one that is specifically for your type.

Serum

You've probably seen hundreds of different products advertised online while scrolling through social media. One of them that you might have seen from companies like City Beauty on Instagram but may not know about are serums. These help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by firming up the skin.

Serum

Even if you don't have wrinkles yet, it is never too early to start using a night time serum. You may notice the price tags are a little higher on these than other products, but don't let that deter you. They can work wonders on your skin.

Exfoliator

While this product doesn't need to be used daily, it should still be incorporated into your skin care routine. A cleanser will help remove most of the dirt and dead skin cells that are on your face, but it doesn't always get to them all. Exfoliator removes the remaining dead skin and gives your complexion a brighter appearance.

SPF

You may have heard of the importance of protecting your skin from the sun. Too much direct sun exposure can lead to skin cancer. You probably apply sunscreen before heading to the pool in the summer, but wearing daily SPF is just as important.

SPF

Spending just a few minutes a day in the sun can cause harm to your skin regardless of cloud coverage. While you absolutely can put on regular sunscreen each day, there are more light weight options that are less noticeable and more comfortable. Many women even choose to use makeup with SPF already in it.

Moisturizer

Many people think moisturizer is just for those with dry skin. They often only use lotion when the air is dry out. However, it is actually a good idea to moisturize every day regardless of whether your skin is dry, normal or oily. Skin can dehydrate easily, and moisturizer will help to solve that problem.
If you are unsure what type of products are best for your skin type, visit your local beauty supply store to get more information. It can be easy to skip steps each day, but remember how important a proper beauty routine is to your skin. Once you get in the habit, in a few weeks when you start to notice a difference in your skin, you won't want to stop!
