Skin care allows us to take matters into our own hands and dole out some attention to our facial skin with the objective of rejuvenating and strengthening it.
One of the factors that is seen to help in this direction is that of using a peel off mask. A peel off mask is like a regular mask except that it hardens onto the face and can be peeled off in one go unlike other masks which harden and have to be washed off with water.
The added advantage of this type of mask is that it completely and thoroughly removes all the dead skin, oil, and other impurities from the face because it sticks to the face. In the article that follows, we will provide you with some recipes for making masks for varied skin disorders, conditions, and face types.
Homemade Masks Recipes

Peel off masks tend to be slightly more expensive than the normal mask brands because they have specialized ingredients in them, which is why many people avoid purchasing them. However, there are several homemade recipes that you can use to make some of the best masks from home. The following have been listed below.

This mask is extremely effective for natural skin care and works well for those who have a normal skin type. It also acts as a great blackhead remover.
  • Milk (½ tsp.)
  • Gelatin (1 tsp.)
  1. Take the gelatin and milk, mix them, and microwave it for 10-15 minutes till the gelatin and milk mixes well.
  2. Let it cool.
  3. Apply with a spatula over your face and let it set for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Do not pull or stretch the skin when it is on your face.
5. After it has hardened and dried, peel off slowly.
6. You can even use a drop or two of any essential oil for the essence.

Egg White + Gelatin Mask
This recipe is very effective in tightening the skin, cleaning out the pores, and getting rid of blackheads.
  • Gelatin (1 tbsp.)
  • Cold milk (1½ tsps.)
  • Egg white (1)
  • Vitamin E capsule (1)
  1. Take a pan and add the gelatin and milk.
  2. Place over a low flame and cook till it has melted and integrated into one.
  3. Remove from the stove and after it has been cooled slightly, add the egg and mix till smooth.
  4. Once it is cool enough for skin contact, apply a thin layer over the face (except the lower eyes, eye lids and upper mouth)
5. Let it dry for 30 minutes.
6. After it has dried sufficiently, peel it off by using slow movements―start from the chin and go upward.
7. Once it's all been peeled off, wash your face and use the vitamin E capsule.
8. For people who have very sensitive skin, it is better to wash off the mask rather than pull on it.
Gelatin + Fruit Juices Mask
The specialty of this mask is that it has the same base and one can simply change the juice according to their preference and skin type.
  • Gelatin (1 tsp.)
  • Juice (½ cup; apple, lemon, raspberry, papaya, peach, pear, orange, grapefruit, carrot juice)
  1. Take the gelatin and the juice of your choice and mix well.
  2. You can either use canned juice or fresh fruit juice. Cut pieces, blend in a blender and strain the juice.
  3. Use a low flame to heat the mixture till it has integrated into one.
4. Let it cool and then transfer into the fridge for firming. It should take about 20-30 minutes for it to set.
5. Take the set gel and apply a thin layer over the face.
6. Let it dry for 20 minutes and then peel off starting at the chin and moving upwards.

7. To get an even deeper cleaning, use damp, hot wash cloths over the face so that the pores open, then use the mask, and peel off. This will ensure deep pore cleansing as well.
8. After the mask has been removed, wash your face with cold water (to close the pores), and apply a moisturizer.
9. Lemon juice is an excellent cleanser for oily skin whereas apple juice is beneficial for dry skin.

Do not undergo the peel off mask treatment more than 2 times in a month. It can harm your skin if done with hardly any interval in between each application.
And now that you have some homemade face mask recipes, you can forget the costly brands and get on with making your own personal recipe. Use well, and take care of your skin.
