Natural Face Wash

Marian K
A natural face wash can be tailor-made for you; using those ingredients that your skin needs most. This information provides some useful examples.
The skin has its own method of waste removal. One of the primary ways to tackle acne is to wash your face at least twice a day. The pores in a person's skin are linked by a canal (follicle) to oil glands beneath the skin that produce an oily substance called sebum.
Dead skin cells are transported through the follicle to the skin surface using the medium of oil. This should explain why it is so important to wash the skin regularly to clear away this substance and prevent it from blocking the follicle.
Also, one of the primary methods of discouraging acne formation, as mentioned earlier, is washing the skin at least twice a day. But that still leaves the question, why use a natural face wash? The answer is that, while there are a myriad of over-the-counter products available, many of them are harsh on the skin.
Apart from this, they also contain ingredients that may be harmful upon absorption through the skin.

Effective Options

A great natural face wash for sensitive skin is honey. Honey has antibacterial properties that may discourage acne formation, and may also help the skin get back its naturally acidic pH. To use it, place a drop of honey in your palm and rub both palms together.
Then, rub your face, transferring the honey equally all over. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse it out. Make sure that you use actual raw honey and not a honey syrup. If you want to use it as a scrub, combine a little ground oatmeal with it and wash your face with it.
Another recipe that works is ½ teaspoon of salt mixed with ½ cup cold milk. Dip a cotton cosmetic pad (a regular cotton ball will work too) in it and wipe your face with it. Let it dry and apply another coat. This time, apply the milk mixture using gentle circular motions and then, rinse it off with water.
There are several natural products that benefit the skin. So, combining most of them should mean added advantage. Here is one such combination: add ½ cup extra virgin olive oil, 1 teaspoon tea tree oil, 1 teaspoon lavender oil, ⅓ cup aloe vera gel, ¼ cup vitamin E oil, ½ cup coconut oil (heated), 1 cup glycerin to 2 cups castile soap.
Use this combination for dry skin at least once a day. Apply and leave a small portion of it before washing it off. Store it in a dark glass bottle, and don't be alarmed if the ingredients separate; just give it a good shake before you use it.
A good face wash that is natural for oily skin can be made by combining mashed papaya or avocado together, and adding one teaspoon of honey and yogurt each to it. Mix them well together and possibly, even blend them. Apply this mixture to your face and leave it on for 15 minutes, and then rinse it off.
Another great natural face wash is a combination of 2 tablespoons of fine colloidal oatmeal, 2 teaspoons of almond meal, 2 teaspoons of honey powder, 2 teaspoons of milk powder, 1 teaspoon clay, and 2 grated tablespoons of pure castile soap. Combine them together and store the mixture in a glass jar.
At the time of use, mix with a little mineral water, leave the paste on for 10 minutes, and then, wash it off. While making one for acne, ensure that you include ingredients such as tea tree oil or benzoyl peroxide, which work wonders for it.
While making one does take some extra effort, it has its own advantages. You can be sure that it does not contain any harsh or harmful chemicals that may damage your skin, and you can include ingredients to address your skin needs.
