From Your Hair

Sometimes it may so happen that you get your hair dyed but are not happy with this new color. In case your hair dye is lighter than the original shade of your hair, follow the steps given below.
Step 1
If you have dyed your hair at a professional hair salon, you should ask the same professional to fix your problem. Otherwise, if you have done the hair dyeing at home, you have to fix this yourself.

If your new hair dye is lighter than the original, you must color your hair again with a darker shade.

From The Skin

Stains of hair dye are observed on the hands when you have dyed your hair or somebody else's. Sometimes, hair dye is accidentally applied to your face while coloring your hair. It can be removed by the following steps.
Method 1
Take a cloth and dip it in milk and clean the part of the skin from which the dye stains are to be removed.
Method 2
White toothpaste is another option to clean the skin. However, it must not be used if your skin is sensitive. Gel toothpastes must not be used to remove hair dye from the skin.
Method 3
Antibacterial soaps can help to remove the dye stains from your skin. It is essential to moisturize your skin after you wash it with soap.
Method 4
Baby oil is used to remove hair dye from skin, but it must be left on the skin overnight.

From Clothes

Here are two methods to remove hair dye from clothes.
Method 1
For fabrics like cotton or linen, use mineral spirit, alcohol, or turpentine, and blot the stain with a white cloth. Rinse the clothes in cold water with some detergent. When the clothes are wet, apply turpentine and rub it with a cloth. After rubbing the stains, wash the clothes in a washing machine.
Method 2
Hydrogen peroxide is used to remove the hair dye from synthetic fabrics. First wash the clothes with detergent and then follow the same procedure as stated in the above method.

From The Carpet

It is frustrating if your carpet is soiled with hair dye stains. Following are the steps to remove the same.
Step 1
In 2 cups of warm water, mix white vinegar and two tablespoons of liquid dishwashing detergent.
Step 2
With the help of a white cloth, blot the stain on the carpet with the mixture that is prepared in step 1.
Step 3
The next step is to blot the carpet stains with water and alcohol. In case the hair dye on the carpet does not come off, you can use two teaspoons of ammonia along with detergent to remove it.

From Countertops

The following are the steps to hair dye stain removal from countertops.
Step 1
Mix baking soda in water to form a paste. Spread this paste on the stained area of the countertop. Do not scrub the paste because it is harsh and can cause scratches on the surface of the countertop.
Step 2
Leave the paste untouched until it dries. With the help of a wet sponge, clean this dried paste.
