Facial beauty takes a backseat when wrinkles appear around the eyes. The good news is that eye wrinkles can be erased considerably to restore the youthful look of the facial skin. There are a number of treatment methods, both invasive and non invasive that have been successful in eliminating wrinkles. They are discussed below:

Ways to Reduce Eye Wrinkling

Topical Products

Anti-wrinkle creams sold over the counter can work to reduce the appearance of eye wrinkles. All these eye creams contain ingredients that help to increase the production of collagen (a type of protein that promotes tightening of skin), which is crucial to clear away the wrinkles.
Within 2-3 weeks of application, one is likely to notice substantial improvement around the eyes.

Laser Surgery

In case, eye creams do not prove to be effective in erasing wrinkles, surgical removal through laser can be a good alternative. The NLite laser treatment stimulates production of collagen, which helps to make the skin firmer, thereby reducing wrinkle appearance.
The procedure usually lasts for 15-20 minutes and in a month's time, you may notice that the wrinkles under the eyes have faded into oblivion.

Injecting botox under the eyes is yet another way to get rid of these wrinkles. As we all know, brain signals are transmitted by the nerves to control muscle movement. So, when botox is introduced into the muscles under the eyes, it does not allow the nerve signals to reach the muscles.
As a result, the muscles stop contracting temporarily and relax. The muscle relaxing effect of botox benefits to improve the appearance of wrinkles. As aforementioned, the results are temporary and so one has to visit the clinic again after a period of 4 months to undergo botox treatment.

Putting cucumber slices over the eyes is considered to be one of the most effective anti-wrinkle treatment. Being high in water content, when applied externally, it helps to moisturize the skin.
So, place a cucumber slice on closed eyelids everyday for around 15 minutes and you may soon start noticing positive results within a few days. Instead of cucumber slices, one can also use a cucumber mask to remove the wrinkles.

Lemon Juice

Collect small amount of lemon juice in a small container by squeezing few lemons. Take a cotton ball and immerse it in the lemon juice. Placing wet cotton ball on the wrinkled skin contributes to repair the skin considerably. For effective results, apply lemon juice in this manner 4-5 times in a day.

Egg Whites

The white part of the egg has proved beneficial in eliminating the skin wrinkles. Beat the egg white so that it becomes foamy. Now, put some amount of this foamy egg white under the eyes.
Allow it to dry, which helps to tighten the skin. Do not wash it off, instead cover it with a make up. However, when using egg whites, make sure it does not enter the eyes as it can cause irritation.

Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E is basically an antioxidant that not only keeps the skin away from free radical damage but also adds moisture and smoothness to the skin. Buy a vitamin E capsule and break it, and take the oil on the finger and gently put it under the eyes. Do this every night before going to bed and you will soon notice wrinkles fading away.

Pure Castor Oil

Castor oil is well-known for its antioxidant capacity and high medicinal value. Moreover, it improves the moisturize and softness of the skin. So, applying it everyday under the eyes with a cotton ball is extremely useful to erase the wrinkles.
A point to note here is that in old age, wrinkling of skin is normal but if it occurs prematurely, it is linked to excessive sun exposure and poor diet.
So, following a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables as well as avoiding smoking and minimizing exposure to ultraviolet light, by wearing sunscreen, whenever you are out in the hot sun is very helpful to prevent early onset of eye wrinkles.
