Bleaching: There two different methods that are being used to bleach brow hair. One involves use of facial bleach cream and the other one uses hydrogen peroxide. Here we are going to discuss on lightening with peroxide as it is comparatively safer.
To lighten eyebrows with peroxide, you require a clarifying shampoo, a small-sized bottle of peroxide, toothbrush, and a cup of warm water. To begin with, clean up all the dirt and impurities form the eyebrow using the shampoo. Then mix the peroxide into the cup of warm water. Take a Q-tip and dip it into the cup and apply it over the eyebrow.
After 5 minutes use the soft bristled toothbrush to blend the bleach well into the hair of the eyebrow. Wait for 10 minutes and then wash off with cold water. You should do a patch test on the chin or upper lip area to check if it causes allergy on your facial skin or not.
Natural Herbs: If you wish to lighten your brows naturally, then there are lightening products available in the market that contains natural herbs. The main ingredients of these beauty products are organic chamomile, marigold, and lemon juice.
These components possess natural hair lightening properties. However, they lighten the eyebrows in a very gradual manner. Therefore, it has to be applied for a few weeks before you can notice the lightening effect.
Eyebrow Pencil: For a temporary effect, you can lighten eyebrows with pencil. Actually, here the color is applied to the underlying skin of the eyebrows and not to the brow hair.
Thus the dark color of the brows blend well with color of the pencil in order to create the lightening impression. For this reason, select a pencil color which is extra light in color as compared to the color that you are looking for on your eyebrows.
Eyebrow Powder: There are two different varieties of tinted eyebrow powders available that can help you to get the desired effect on your eyebrows. One of them is a shimmery powder which has glitter and sparkles in them and is used to give a glamorous look. On the other hand, for a more subtle look, a powder with a matte finish has to be chosen.
Eyebrow Gel: There are colored gels which can be applied on the eyebrow as a makeup before you go out in the evening. This is also a temporary solution but it will also give a sculpted look to your eyebrows. These gels are translucent in quality and hence those with strong tint has to be chosen for a very dark-colored eyebrows. Otherwise the desired effect will not be visible.
You should be careful while using the lightening agent. If you are not confident about using peroxide on the eyebrows, it is better that you take the help of professional in your local salon.
Do not use any of the dyes that you use on your hair for your eyebrows, as they contain strong chemicals which can lead to eruption of blisters. The strong chemical content of these hair dyes, if enter into your eyes, can cause permanent damage to them.
