Slightly press it over the pimple for ten minutes. Now, apply a medicated cleansing cream or antiseptic to clean the dirt around. After 3-4 hours again apply the ice pack and follow the same procedure. This would reduce the swelling and redness.
You can also use an antibacterial soap to clean the skin. Pat dry your skin, and then apply a topical cream containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Follow this regime for a few days.
Before you try the various remedies, make sure to clean the skin with a medicated cleanser or an antiseptic lotion. Following the aforementioned remedies might prove beneficial.
