How to Apply Blush

However, to apply the blusher perfectly, it would be best to use a soft brush that is rounded on the top. Choose a brush that is medium-sized, and made of natural fibers. People often use a powder brush for applying blusher. This should be completely avoided, and it is better to invest in a good blusher applicator.

A little amount of blush on the cheekbone can add a glow to the face. However, a common mistake most make while applying blush is that they wear too much of it. The important thing to remember is that application of blusher should be minimal. Before applying the blusher, make sure that you apply foundation, as well as little powder on your face. Gently swirl the brush on the blusher so that the tip of the brush is evenly coated.

Take a tissue paper and tip off some of the excess powder from the brush. Once you have done this, look into the mirror and smile. Focus on the apple of your cheeks i.e. the area of your cheeks that stand out when you smile. Lightly apply the blusher with swift upward strokes (towards your hairline) on the apple of the cheeks as well as below it. Apply till you get the shade that you want.
