Contrary to popular belief, it is very easy to make your own body spray, using everyday ingredients like water, perfumes, colognes and various oils, preparing it is real fun. Methods To Make Your Own Body Spray

The first step in this is to find the essential oils that you would want to use for the spray. There are several choices like lavender and lemongrass also food flavoring extracts like vanilla and citrus.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups distilled water
  • 3 tbsp vodka
  • 1 tbsp of each: finely chopped orange and lemon peel
  • 5 drops of lemon fragrance oil
  • 10 drops of orange essential/fragrance oil
Directions
Place the fruit peels in a jar filled with vodka for a week. Now strain the liquid and add the essential fragrance oils and water to this strained liquid. Let the mixture stand for two weeks in a cool, dark area.

Recipe # 3

If you prefer using witch hazel then this body spray is ideal for both genders. It keeps you fresh all day long.

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp witch hazel
  • 10 drops of essential oil: lemon and cucumber
  • 8 oz. of distilled water
Directions
Mix all the ingredients in a bottle for an after shower body spray. If there is skin irritation, avoid using lemon oil in the mixture.
You can choose to make your own essential oils for the sprays. Remember to shake the bottles before using it and spray just a light mist. You can also experiment with your own scent combinations when you make your own body spray, till you find a scent ideal for you.
