A trip to a spa can make an irreparable hole in your pocket. Here are a few beauty recipes that you can try at home. These homemade beauty products are safer alternative and equally are effective.
Making beauty products at home is a way cheaper option than indulging in exorbitant body care products. The other advantage of homemade skin care products is that they are 100% natural.

There are no chemicals used in making these beauty products, so you don't have to think twice before using a face pack or a lip balm made at home. Moreover, you don't have to make any appointments in a spa. You can make these recipes at home and call it your day at the spa. The ingredients required are readily available at any super store or any drug store.

Hand Scrub and Moisturizer

Our hands are the most exposed part of the body. We use them for everything and anything. The pollution that they are exposed to everyday, harasses them even more.
Scrubbing your hand and moisturizing the skin on your hands once a week, prevents them from premature aging, wrinkles, and layers of dead skin. Mix 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of water, and half a cup of sugar. Mix them until there are no lumps left.
Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil for a soothing scent. Scrub your hands for a good five minutes with this homemade scrub, massage them and wash it off with lukewarm water.
Once you've washed your hands, moisturize your hands with a mixture of glycerin and rose water. Make a mixture out of ⅓ cup glycerin and ⅔ cup rose water. Shake this mixture well and apply it on your hands. Leave it on overnight for best results. You can use this for your feet too.

Homemade Acne Masks

Acne is a universal problem, which is why you must know some natural beauty remedies for acne. Acne is a result of excess secretion of sebum which gets trapped beneath the skin, causing unwanted eruptions.
Removing the extra oil from the skin is an integral part of acne control. Clay masks are the best when is comes to controlling acne. Take about 2 tablespoons of multani mitti or fuller's earth, 1 tablespoon rosewater, 1 tablespoon honey and 2 drops of your favorite essential oil (jojoba oil works the best).
Mix these ingredients well. Wash your face with warm water, pat dry and apply this face mask on your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes till it dries out. Wash it with cold water, so that the pores on your skin are completely closed. For best results, use this mask once a week.

Wrinkles and Lines

Wrinkles and lines on your skin are the obvious signs of aging. Exposure to sun and harsh weather conditions also lead to wrinkles. Try these easy recipes to take away years from your face. Mix about 2 tablespoons of milk and honey, in the same proportion, and even it out on your face and throat.
Leave it on for 15-20 minutes (even if you don't like the smell) till it dries out. Wash it with warm water for best results. Another anti-wrinkle homemade mask is made out of honey and apple. Grate about half an apple and add a tablespoon of honey to it. Mix it well and apply it on your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and wash it with warm water.

Homemade Moisturizer

Moisturizing your skin is very essential. To make homemade moisturizer, you will need, 1 cup liquid oil, almond oil or avocado and ½ cup beeswax. Heat the two together. Remove from heat and stir until it cools down. Add two capsules of vitamin E and a few drops of essential oil. Pour it in a jar and store it in a cool place.
Another moisturizer that you can make at home is a rose moisturizer. Take about 1 cup rosewater and ½ a cup of fresh rose petals. Heat them until they start boiling. Once it cools down, strain out the petals and add some glycerin and aloe vera gel. Stir it well and let it cool down, so that you can use it.
