Effective Home Remedies for Increasing Your Hair Growth

Scalp Massages

Regular scalp massages, at least for 10 minutes everyday, work to improve the blood circulation in the scalp and stimulate hair growth. Use the fingers and massage the scalp in gentle circular motion.

Amla for Hair

One of the best hair growth home remedies is a mixture of amla and coconut oil. Boil two cups of coconut oil and add some amla to it. Cool this mixture and store it in a bottle. Apply it to the hair thrice a week and then rinse off with a mild shampoo.

Coconut Milk Hair Growth Remedy

Apply coconut milk to your hair and let it stay on for half an hour, before washing it off with cold water.

Using Oils for Hair Growth

An age-old natural home remedy for hair growth is the use of castor oil, coconut oil, and olive oil. Mix these oils together and warm it a bit to allow the oil to penetrate the roots of the hair and promote hair growth.

Lemon for Oily Hair

An effective hair growth remedy is the use of lemon. You can mix the juice of one lemon with an egg. Amla juice, mixed with lemon juice, and used for washing the hair fosters hair growth and reduces hair loss quite significantly.


Rosemary, with its antiseptic properties, is believed to be one of the best herbal products for stopping the hair loss and allowing the hair to grow. One teaspoon of dried rosemary can be steeped in hot water for twenty minutes. Strain off the liquid and use it to wash your hair. You can also add half a cup of apple cider vinegar to this rosemary solution.

Aloe Vera for Hair Loss

Along with its many uses such as treatments for skin conditions and its healing properties, aloe vera is one of the best remedies for hair loss and is an excellent hair conditioner as well.
Apply aloe vera gel on the scalp, leave on for fifteen minutes, and then wash off with cold water. You can get the gel at many drugstores or obtain the fresh aloe gel from the plant itself.

Fenugreek Seed Paste for Hair

A paste of ground fenugreek seeds mixed with water is one of the best remedies for hair growth. This home remedy helps in sloughing off the dead cells and allows the hair to growth effectively.
Try including iron and proteins in your diet. Including calcium, magnesium, mineral supplements, and green leafy vegetables in your diet prevents hair loss and promotes long, beautiful hair. Also make sure that you do not suffer from health-related and hormonal problems that affect the hair growth.
