Haircuts for Thin Hair and Oval Face

Women's Hairstyles

Pixie cuts and bobs suit almost all face shapes and have low upkeep, and help the facial features stand out. For pixie cut, hair at the back and sides are cut into short crops with crown hair kept longer. Front hair are cut into long side sweeping bangs.
Any type of bob looks good on oval faces only if hair falls on the sides of the cheeks. Avoid tugging hair, as it makes the face look more oval. To style the look, also get some bangs.
If you have medium hair then get a choppy bob done. For a trendy look, get either a symmetrical or asymmetrical inverted bob. On medium or long hair, choppy layered styles look good where point cutting is used.
The stylist holds the hair at an angle and cuts it to a point making hair look thicker and fuller. So, get more choppy layers near the crown to add volume to make your face shape look less prominent.
If you have really long hair then style them into curls so that they look even thicker.

Men's Hairstyles

For men with oval face and thin hair, spiky cuts, and crew cuts are good choice. For crew cut the hair on sides and back is shaved off with the top hair being cut into a flat crop.
Spiky cuts are done by cutting the side hair and back into short crops and then the top hair is styled spiky using a strong hold gel.
Other good hairstyles for oval face are the faux hawk styles and choppy layered styles. Faux hawk looks great and can be donned to office or the club. For this, cut the side hair into short crops and cut the middle hair tapering. Then style the middle hair upwards and forwards using an extra hold gel to create the style.
Choppy medium layered styles for men are cut into pieces, the hair sections are placed in front of the ears and choppy bangs are given at the front. This style looks good on oval faces. To make hair look fuller get lowlights done. They add a subtle texture to the hair and are also milder compared to hair highlights.
