Hair Mask Recipes for Frizzy Hair

A hair mask helps improve the condition of frizzy hair with its moisturizing qualities. Go through the story to learn some simple hair mask recipes for frizzy hair, which you can easily prepare at home.
People who have curly or wavy locks will tell you how difficult it is to manage and maintain them. Although they look beautiful and quite unusual compared to regular straight texture, they are more prone to drying, which means they are always susceptible to losing moisture and turning frizzy.
Frizzy and dry is a bad combination, as it leads to split ends, breakage, brittleness, etc., giving your hair a very untidy appearance. Besides a good care regime, like regular application of oil, try out some of the following hair mask recipes, which will help in conditioning your frizzy tresses.

Strawberry Mask

Recipe 1

  • Fresh strawberries, 8
  • Mayonnaise, 1 tbsp
Mash the strawberries, and stir in the mayonnaise. Dampen hair, and massage this mixture into it, in the scalp, and right down to the strands. Wrap head with a shower cap, and leave it on for twenty minutes. Wash out with a shampoo as usual.

Recipe 2

  • Strawberries, 200 gms
  • Olive oil, 2 tbsp
  • Egg yolk, 1
Puree strawberries, stir in it olive oil and egg yolk. Apply the mask, wrap head with a plastic cap for 20 minutes. Rinse as usual.

Olive Oil Mask

Recipe 1

  • Olive oil, 3 tbsp
  • Honey, ½ cup
In a small bowl, mix together honey and olive oil. Taking small amounts at a time, massage your locks until they are well coated. Wrap head in a warm towel, and leave it for half an hour. Rinse as usual.

Recipe 2

  • Whole eggs, 2
  • Olive oil, 4 tbsp
Combine both the ingredients in a bowl. Using a wide-toothed brush, smooth it through your locks. Wrap your head in a plastic wrap, the heat generated in the wrap will aid in moisture penetration.

Banana Mask

Recipe 1

  • Ripe banana, 1
  • Mayonnaise, 3 scoops
  • Olive oil, 1 tbsp
Puree banana in a blender, blend until smooth and no clumps are left. Add oil and mayonnaise, and blend again. Apply, and leave it on for twenty minutes. Rinse with warm water and shampoo as usual.

Recipe 2

  • Banana, 1
  • Whole egg, 1
  • Milk, 3 tbsp
  • Honey, 3 tbsp
  • Olive oil, 5 tbsp
Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth and creamy. Apply this mask generously, and leave it on for half an hour. Rinse with warm water, use a gentle shampoo and wash it off.

Avocado Mask

  • Avocado, ½
  • Olive oil, ¼ cup
  • Sweet almond oil, ¼ cup
Mash avocado, and blend in both oils. Dampen hair, and spread it from the roots to the tips with a wide-toothed comb. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and shampoo as usual.

Mayonnaise Mask

  • Mayonnaise, ¼ cup
  • Plain organic yogurt, ¼ cup
  • Egg white, 1
Beat egg whites, until perky. Blend in yogurt and mayonnaise. Massage the mixture into wet hair. Cover with a plastic shower cap, leave in for 30 minutes, then wash out with cold water and a mild shampoo.
The above mentioned hair masks contain a luscious mix of rich ingredients that will leave your hair both, conditioned and rich with gloss. And just in case you are short on time, rinse your hair with two tablespoons of apple cider mixed with three cups distilled water, and you are all set to go!
