Indian gooseberry or amla is the most effective natural cure for gray hair. You can either consume it whole, since it is a rich source of vitamin C, or you can even apply it directly on your scalp. It is also available in powder form so that it can be made into paste, and applied on the scalp.

Henna naturally renders a reddish brown color to hair. Thus, it can be used as a natural hair dye. It is also a good conditioner, and is devoid of side effects. Soak a handful of these in water, and leave them overnight. Grind them the next morning, and mix with yogurt (2 tbsp). Apply this mixture on scalp, and let it stay for an hour or so. Wash it off with a normal shampoo. This also gets rid of dandruff, and makes hair soft and shiny.
