Liquid eyeliners do not need to be sharpened as they maintain a sharp line on their own, but they can be a bit messy if your hands are not steady. Pencil liners need to be sharpened regularly. They are very soft so they can break at any time.

  • To make brown eyes more prominent, use gold liner and three-toned matching eyeshadow.
  • For a natural look, keep the liner light, just outline the eyes.
  • Avoid using black shades which give a very fierce look to your eyes.
Choose an attractive dress that is not shiny. A black dress will look great. Your outfit should be relatively toned-down so that the gold eyeliner is the center of attention. Wear simple and light jewelry, preferably of golden color. Put on powdered light-shaded eyeshadow. The golden liner will be highlighted better against light shades.
Use a charcoal eye pencil to highlight your eyes if the liner is too thin. This way, you can get a more prominent look. Apply the eyeliner on the upper eyelid. Start from the inner corner of the eyes and proceed along the curve of the eyelid.
If you're going for a cat-eye, draw a line across the lid, tapering towards your eyebrow. If you want the line to look more prominent then apply several coats.
