Blue eyes are irresistible and the correct shade of eyeshadow can make them even more attractive. To know how to select the color of eyeshadow for blue eyes and the various styles and tips, read on.
Eye cosmetics are an important aspect of facial makeup. Choosing the right eyeshadow for the right eye color, plays a significant role in enhancing the beauty of your eyes.
Many women think that they should choose the color of the eyeshadow based on the color of their apparel and accessories. However, your outfit does not determine the color, but the color of your eyes does..
Eyeshadow Colors for Blue Eyes
If you have blue eyes, the color of eyeshadow must be selected from the shades of blue. Shades of blue like deep blue, purple, taupe, violet, or even gray can bring out the natural tones in your eyes.
These colors give a more natural look. Shades of violet like violet and lavender render a brighter and vibrant look to your eyes and face.
For a more dramatic and smoky look, try silver or turquoise. Other than these shades mentioned, there are many other shades, which look just as awesome.
Women with blonde hair can wear a lavender or light purple color. These shades look great on blondes, as their skin is much fairer as compared to the other women. On the other hand, women with a darker complexion can use a golden shimmer for evening wear.
Shades of bright brown will complement blue eyes and enhance their beauty. Women with red hair can use more natural colors like tans and browns.
Fuschia is also a funky color, and so is green. Aqua or turquoise add to the beauty the eyes and bring out the green highlights in them.  Lastly, if you have fair skin, pink eyeshadow can bring out your natural beauty. However, fuschia and other darker shades of pink can be applied only for a smoky eye makeup.
Tips to Apply Eyeshadow
  • The foremost thing to remember, is to apply it using two or three shades. These shades must be blended with each other perfectly. Choose one color and use shades of this color.

  • While applying, start with the darker shade at the crease of the eyelid. Apply the lighter shades as you proceed towards the eyebrow.
  • While you apply it, use neutral colors on the brow bone.

  • To make your make up stay for a longer time, you can apply primer and then apply the eyeshadow.
