Eyebrow tinting is one of the many ways for fixing nearly invisible or pale eyebrows. Being an easy cosmetic procedure, you can consider tinting eyebrows on your own at home. This information provides some tips on how to tint eyebrows.
Everyone adores thick and well-shaped eyebrows like those of beautiful celebrities. After all, they frame the eyes making them bigger, and enhance the depth of the facial features. However, many of us have nearly nonexistent brows and lashes.
Many cosmetics and makeup tips are promoted to enhance the look of eyebrows in terms of shape, dimension, and thickness. Another cosmetic procedure that is becoming very poplar amongst people who have naturally thin brows is eyebrow tinting.
If you prefer fixing brows for a longer period, then tinting eyebrows is the ultimate solution. Just like you color your hair with your favorite shade, it involves dyeing the brows with a color that suits the skin tone, hair color, and more importantly, the personality of the receiver.
A plus point with this eye makeup technique is that it is a semi-permanent procedure to flaunt visually clear brows. Hence, you do not have the hassles for visiting beauty salons frequently after getting your eyebrows tinted.

Eyebrow Tinting at Home

Getting eyebrows tinted in a beauty salon may cost a few dollars (approximately USD 15-20). If you are planning to tint eyebrows for the first time, then get it done by a beautician. In case you are inclined more towards hair coloring and dyeing tips, you can consider tinting your eyebrows at home.
Several brands of eyebrow tinting kits are available in the beauty stores. Select the color carefully; two shade lighter or darker than your natural color is ideal. Here is a step by step procedure on how to tint eyebrows properly:

Gather the Required Supplies

  • Eyebrow dye
  • Eyebrow tint developer
  • Eyebrow brush
  • Petroleum jelly
  • Cotton pad
  • Two small bowls

Tinting Procedure

Before you indulge in direct application of the eyebrow tinting base, perform a patch test. If possible, do it two days before performing this procedure. That way, you can ensure whether the chemical formulation is safe for your skin or not.
Make the paste as per the instructions, apply a small amount on your hands, and check the after reactions. Once you are confirmed that the beauty product is safe, only then proceed with tinting eyebrows.
Go through the user directions mentioned in the leaflet. As you open an eyebrow tinting kit, you will find two paste tubes of different shades, probably of brown and black color. Mix appropriate amounts of the paste until you get the color of your choice.
Add the tint developer as instructed and combine well with the paste. Using a cotton ball, rub the skin areas surrounding the brows with petroleum jelly.
The next step is to apply the paste to the eyebrows. Using an eyebrow brush, gently coat the brows with the tinting paste, starting from the inside of the brows and working your way towards the outer side. Repeat the same step for the other eyebrow.
Allow the color to set for the stipulated time period. Following this, remove the paste gently with a cotton pad. Your eyebrows will not only appear thick, but you will also have the color of your choice.
After you are done with the procedure, before and after look of your eyebrows can be compared. You can definitely make out significant enhancement in your brows. However, tinting eyebrows is not the end of the story.
It is to be borne in mind that regular threading, shaping, and trimming eyebrows should be followed even after tinting your brows. With this cosmetic procedure, you do not have to worry about putting eye makeups everyday before you step outside.
