It can be quite annoying to see makeup still on after you've washed your face, where these eye makeup remover solutions should do the trick without the need to scrub your eyes out.
It's amazing what a little makeup can do, as it draws emphasis to your face's strongest features. When it comes to eye makeup in particular, using certain techniques can make your eyes look bigger and brighter, or highlight its lovely contours. For of those of us who wear heavy eye makeup every day―mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, and primer―using a good eye makeup remover is an absolute need.
I'm sure you know the effects of leaving makeup on while you sleep; it can leave your skin looking tired and noticeably aged, if left neglected repeatedly. Let's take a look at some helpful methods that can be used to remove eye makeup effectively, while moisturizing your eyes with friendly ingredients.

What to Use to Remove Eye Makeup

Olive or Canola Oil

All you need is a cotton ball partially soaked with olive or canola oil. Gently swipe it over your eyelids, concentrating on your lashes if you've applied mascara or waterproof eyeliner; don't scrub vigorously. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Baby Oil Infused with Vitamin E

For those with sensitive skin, take a cotton ball and drizzle a few drops of baby oil on it. Gently wipe your eyes, over and under your eyelashes, using a single directional stroke to get rid of residual makeup. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Raw Milk or Lemon and Potato Juice

Use either plain raw milk to cleanse your eyes, or a mixture of two tablespoons of potato juice with a squeeze of lemon juice. Just don't get any of the lemon juice in your eyes, or it'll sting. Rinse with cold water.

Cornflower, Almond Oil, and Castor Oil

You'll need 200ml of cornflower water and sweet almond oil, with 100ml of castor oil. Mix these ingredients together in a bowl and store the mixture in a clean plastic bottle. If makeup smudges during the day, just pour a little bit of this mix on a cotton ball or swab, to get rid of makeup streaks. If the mixture separates in the bottle, just give it a good shake before using it. Use sparingly to avoid leaving behind oily patches of skin.

Plain Moisturizer

All you need is a trusty moisturizer to remove eye makeup; dab a little of it on a cotton ball and you'll be surprised at how easily it comes off. Another great alternative to use is apricot oil or good ol' coconut oil; avoid using plain water to remove any kind of makeup.
