European facial massage is a great way to relieve stress from your face and get a glowing skin. There are certain stages and techniques involved in an European face massage, which makes this facial very popular.
Facials and face clean-up treatments are offered at various beauty salons. These beauty treatments greatly help to clean up the skin and give it a healthy glow. However, there is a difference between face clean-ups and facials.
Facials involve a lot of massage, which can last for 10 minutes or more. This is because facials are not just used to clean-up the skin, but also to get rid of facial stress. It is said that most of the stress is stored in the face. Hence, a facial can be very effective to get rid of stress. Also, it helps to keep the skin looking young.
One of the most popular types of facial is the European facial massage. This massage involves different stages in which various techniques are used. This massage techniques are simple and good for beginners. Also, this is one of the most affordable facials.

Cleansing

Cleansing will remove make-up, dirt, or dust from the face. The beautician will use a dollop of cleanser on a cotton ball and wipe your face clean.
Some may even massage the face for a minute or 2, using a simple circular motions. Then your face will be wiped clean with a wet towelette or piece of wet cotton.

Steaming

Steam is given to make the skin - blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples - soft. This step helps open the pores making it easier to remove acne easily. If you have severe acne, then more steam will be applied.

Exfoliation

Exfoliation is done to get rid of dead and dry skin, blackheads, whiteheads, and zits. A scrub is used on the face, neck, and ears. This process will go on for few minutes.
The beautician will then wipe your face with a wet cotton ball. She will then remove acne, blackheads, and whiteheads with a tissue or a blackhead extractor.

Face Mask

Then to close the skin pores. Depending on your skin tone, a face mask is applied and left to dry for about 10-20 minutes, after which it is removed with wet cotton balls. In this stage mostly, cucumber slice or cotton pads dipped in rose-water are kept over the eyes.

Massage

Finally, the facial massage. Many salons may include upper back, neck, and shoulder massage too in a European facial massage.
The beautician will massage your face, neck, and back and a bit of the upper chest area with lotion; using varied pressure and motions. After 10-15 minutes the massage and the beauty treatment will finish.
