For a prom, go with a stunning updo and make sure you use accessories. However, if you wish to dress up in an elegant updo for your office, then you can just go with a bun and take out a few strands.
French Twist Style
To style your hair into a French twist, pull all your hair sleekly back into a hand-held pony at the back of your hand.
Then slide your hand out, so that you are holding the pony loosely a couple of inches away from the scalp, and then twist the hair. Fold the rest of the hair on one side. Secure this with hair pins, and tuck the hair properly under the twist.
A Simple Bun
Hair buns are easy to make and good for any occasion. To style your hair into a bun, pull all your hair back into a ponytail.
You can keep the pony high or near the nape of the neck, depending on the position of the bun you want. Secure the pony with an elastic black band, or a silicon band, then twist the hair sleekly. Wrap the rest of the hair around the base of the pony, and secure it in place with hair pins.
Updos for Curly Hair
If you are wearing a beautiful gown, and want to create a soft romantic look, then use a curling iron to get your hair curly, and try the curly hair updo.
You can secure your hair at the back in a bun, and let a few stands out around the sides of the face to create a even softer and romantic look. Use beautiful accessories like flower pins to make your curly hairstyle look even more pretty.
Braid Updo Hairstyle
Braids are great as elegant updos. You can part your hair in the middle or sideways, then make small French braids at the sides, and then make a big braid with the rest of the back hair, and secure it in a braided bun near the nape of your neck. Use hair pins to secure the style better.
Half Updos
Half updos are great for short, medium, or long hair. They can look great on straight, wavy, or curly hair too. However, half updos look the best with wavy hair, if you have straight hair, then use the curling hair mousse on wet hair, and scrunch your hair, let it air dry, and you will have great wavy hair.
Then comb your hair with a big tooth comb, and separate the upper half hair, and secure it in a bun with the help of an elastic band. Use some hair accessories to make your style look even more beautiful.
