Despite the availability of a large number of hair care products, many people prefer to use some simple home remedies for hair care. These natural products are free of chemicals or artificial ingredients. One such popular remedy for hair is raw egg.
Eggs are an important source of proteins and B vitamins, the nutrients crucial for maintaining the health of the skin and hair. Raw eggs can promote the growth of healthy hair, and add shine and luster to your tresses.

Benefits of Eggs

As mentioned already, eggs are an important dietary source of proteins and B vitamins. So, raw eggs when applied on hair can help strengthen it, and promote its growth, as hair is basically made of protein.
Along with proteins, the egg white contains some enzymes that can inhibit the growth of bacteria and thus, keep your scalp healthy. On the other hand, the egg yolk is rich in fats and so, it can help moisturize the hair strands deeply.
The fatty acids found in the yolk can make your hair shiny and glossy, and prevent dandruff and hair loss. The egg yolk also contains many essential vitamins, like vitamin A, D, and E. These vitamins are important for growing healthy hair.
Vitamin A and E help prevent dryness, while vitamin D can promote hair growth. The B vitamins found in raw eggs on the other hand, can improve the circulation of blood in the scalp.

How to Use Eggs on Hair

Eggs can be used in many different ways to promote hair growth, prevent hair loss and condition or moisturize hair. Use raw eggs alone or mix them with olive oil, lemon juice, honey, yogurt, castor oil, etc. The addition of these ingredients enhances egg's benefits for hair. This treatment will make your hair stronger, shinier, and well-moisturized.
