Mamta Mule
Daily skin care routine for oily skin is necessary to keep it healthy and attractive, as it lacks charm due to its texture. Following a daily routine will help you make it non-greasy and maintain a fresh look.
If your skin is oily, you must be tired of keeping away that annoying shine. You must be washing it quite a number of times, but the oily look does not go away.
Moreover, oily skin is more prone to acne and pimples, and it also makes you look tired and greasy. It affects your appearance.
You might have tried a number of products for your skin, but won't have achieved desired results. So, you would be wondering what needs to be done? Remember that following a regular routine is a must. Your skin needs special care and hence, you must adopt a healthy routine for yourself.

Cleansing

Cleansing is the most essential part. Keeping your skin clean is very difficult, as it attracts dirt because of its oiliness. You can opt for a good quality cleanser specially-designed for oily skin. You can look for one containing silica, salicylic acid, or benzoyl peroxide which will absorb the excess oil.
You must wash your face at least twice a day, in the morning and at night. Washing it after traveling is also essential to get rid of the dust that gets collected. You can use lemon juice as the perfect cleanser. Apply lemon juice over your face and wash it off after a few minutes to have a clean skin.
You can also mix it with oats, skim milk powder, or yogurt to get the perfect cleanser. Try using Kiwi too for face cleaning. Remember that over-washing your skin can also lead to acne breakouts, so do not wash it more than thrice a day unless it gets dirty.

Toning

You must use a toner after cleansing your face. It helps contract and firm up your skin. It also tightens the skin and closes the pores opened due to the cleansing process. This helps reduce the oil secretions from skin, hence keeping the oiliness away.
A toner lowers the skin's pH and eradicates oil and dirt that the cleanser could not remove. You can also use it during the day to keep the skin oil free and refresh it without the use of cleansers. Overuse of toner might make your skin feel dry as it usually contains alcohol. If this is the case, you can reduce its use.

Moisturizing

Oily skin also needs to be moisturized. You can lightly dab the moisturizer over your skin after toning it. Opt for water-based and oil-free moisturizers. These products are light, get absorbed quickly, and won't leave your face greasy. You can apply loose face powder to give a perfect matte look to your face.

Exfoliating

This will help you get rid of dead cells and give you a fresh look. It removes the dirt over your skin and reduce the oily appearance. You can make a scrub and exfoliate your skin at home. For this, use equal parts of lemon juice and sea salt.
Gently scrub your face for 3-5 minutes and wash off with cold water. You will have clean, soft and non-greasy skin after this treatment. Remember not to be too harsh while exfoliating though. Exfoliating once a week is the best way to prevent acne. For extreme oily skin, scrub twice a week. Also, keep in mind not to do this if there is an acne breakout.
Remember that oily skin requires extra care. You must keep away hot water while washing your skin. Water at room temperature is best to be used while washing your face. Adopting the aforementioned tips will help you get rid of greasy and unclean face.
