Soft and glowing skin is something that everyone dreams of. There are various obstacles that come in between this dream, and one of them is dry and flaked skin. Dry skin can never look beautiful, even if you apply layers of makeup on it. On the other hand, a healthy soft skin looks beautiful even without any makeup.
So for getting the perfect skin, one first needs to treat its dryness. Another obstacle is oily skin. Contradictory to dry skin, oily skin makes the face look extremely greasy. Using the right moisturizer can solve all these problems. Here are some of the common causes of dry and oily skin.
The skin gets dry mostly because of the dry air. That is, the moisture of the skin vanishes due to it, thus, leaving it dry. Other reasons are extensive hot showers, certain soaps, medical conditions such as hormonal changes, psoriasis, diabetes, hypothyroidism, etc. Even malnutrition can cause the same as the body does not get all the required nutrients. Whereas oily skin is mostly a hereditary problem, however, it can also be caused due to hormonal imbalance, improper diet, cosmetics, and humid weather.
In case of dry skin, a moisturizer hydrates the skin by providing water and oils to the cells of the skin. Oily skin also needs the same to help maintain the hydration levels. Most of the moisturizers contain some kind of oil, which makes the skin oily after the application. These types would be of no use in case of combination or oily skins.
