Beauty Tips for Girls with Freckles

Rimlee Bhuyan
Freckles are the little spots that appear on fair skin when exposed to the sun for too long. They are clusters of concentrated melanin, and can be eliminated with the right treatments. Here's how you can camouflage and fade your freckles.
Freckles are clusters of concentrated melanin. They are more common in people with fair skin. If you have freckles, your best friend is a high SPF sunscreen. Freckles become more prominent when you expose your skin to the sun for a long time. So, you need to make sure that you apply sunscreen and stay out of the sun as far as possible.

Wash your face twice a day with an exfoliating face wash. Face washes or cleansers that contain lactic acid and tiny micro beads are ideal. Make sure that you use a mild exfoliator and avoid using the ones containing coarse grains. Too much of it can strip your skin of essential oils, which will make your skin inflamed and blotchy.
Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen containing SPF of at least 30 to protect your skin from pigmentation. An easy and inexpensive homemade remedy is to apply a mixture of honey and lemon juice. Applying horseradish juice mixed with yogurt also shows good results.
Weekly use of a good at-home microdermabrasion kit can work wonders for your skin. It helps to lighten and fade freckles, and make the skin smooth and soft. Another advantage of these kits is that you can eliminate fine lines and wrinkles with regular use.
Visit a dermatologist who will prescribe you a hydroquinone bleaching cream and retinoid cream that will boost cell renewal and help to lighten freckles. You can also try a good freckle removal cream.
If you are looking for quicker and more effective results, you can opt for a trichloroacetic acid peel or a session of Intense Pulsed Light. These procedures are expensive, but the results can be dramatic.

One of the best ways to tackle freckles is to camouflage them with makeup. You need a creamy concealer that is two shades lighter than your skin tone. Choose a yellow-based concealer rather than a pink-based one as they are more effective in hiding freckles.
Pat the concealer on with your fingertip or with a concealer brush. Do not attempt to smudge or rub in the concealer on your skin. Next, apply foundation on your skin taking care to blend the foundation with the concealer, so that your skin looks even-toned.
Finally, set the concealer with a dusting of loose powder. For a flawless complexion, use a yellow-toned translucent powder to set the foundation.
Freckles can make a person look older, as the skin looks blotchy and dull. Minimizing sun exposure and using a topical cream containing retinoid or hydroquinone is the best remedy. To prevent them from appearing on your skin, follow a proper skin-care routine and always wear sunscreen.
